Setting of Lost Names

The setting of Lost Names is the time of the Japanese invasions on Korea. Many Koreans are moving to Manchuria across the Tuman River. The surrounding are filled with Japanese artillery lines, riflemen, and tanks. In Manchuria, the people are seperated by Japanese and Koreans, and the Koreans are forced to obey Japanese traditions and conduct. It's just awful for what you can see the Japanese people are doing by looking only at the setting. People are desperate to leave their homeland and go to a foreign region. Some new people there are laughed at because they look different and wear different things. Manchuria I would say from what I have read so far is not a good place to stay so far because of its setting whuch is a clump of people with so little kids, and they also bother the new kids.

I agree. What the Japanese is doing is cruel. Also, did you know that Korea used to be spelled Corea? The Japanese changed it to Korea because K comes after J in the alphabet and Japan wanted to be ahead of Corea, not behind. Well, that's what I have been told. It it just really sad what the Japanese did to the Koreans.

I agree, for it is a HISTORICAL FACT that Japanese have done crue actions that has inflicted damage to Korea. As Korean I must admit that I feel certain degree of anger and rage towards japanese, not towards the people but towards the results of the actions they did. 70% of Korean artifacts taken by Japanese is still not to even be catagorized by Korean government and is in private Japanese family libraries and ownership displays. What they did to Korea is inevitably cruel. Also the way they tried to elimnimate our culture was outragous and today the Japanese government still makes denies of what is now proven facts of cruelty of their invasion. Justice MUST be held against them not for their actions, but their present attitude towards the problem.
